The Coastal Plain Research Arboretum (38 acres) is an arboretum located on the grounds of the Tifton (GA) Campus of the University of Georgia. The arboretum was established in 1987, with plant development and selection starting in 1991. It consists of stream-side forest and wetland, and is dedicated to native plant species of the Georgia Coastal Plain.

There are two gardens located here, the Native Plant Garden and the Ferns of the World Garden. It now contains over 4,000 species of native, rare, and endangered plants indigenous to the American Southeast.

The Fred Hamilton Rhododendron Garden is a botanical garden specializing in rhododendrons, located within the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds. It boasts one of the largest collections of hybrid rhododendrons in the state of Georgia. The Garden now contains more than 3,000 hybrid rhododendrons, it is laid out on a hillside sloping to Lake Chatuge.
