Default Favorite fruits?

Ok, we have a favorite vegetable thread, it's inevitable that we should ask what is your favorite fruit.

I love mangoes, both green ones and ripe ones. Strawberries are also a favorite, as well as pears & apples. I just love their crunch and the sweet juices. It also fills me up so it's good breakfast food.

Oh mangoes are absolutely wonderful! The ripe ones make great desserts on their own, or you can add them to cakes for a more lovely taste. They make great smoothies too.

I love papayas as well. The texture is similar to that of mangoes but it's a different kind of sweetness. Watermelons and melons are lovely to eat too, especially if they're chilled.

Peaches and pineapples for me. Of course, strawberries are also a big favorite and is a healthy snack as an alternative to eating processed snacks.

Kiwi! I first had a taste of this when my aunt arrived from a trip to Australia. Later on the fruit could be bought at the local grocers, but I could never forget my first taste of it.

Bananas are good. I mix that and apple for a good fruit smoothie. If mangoes are available (and they rarely are) I blend that with apple to. Yum!

I found this really amazing roundup of mango recipes you might want to try. I'm a big fan of mangoes and am happy eating them just as is, but this guy takes it to the next level. Mango Madness indeed!

A fruit mix is best when there are apples, bananas, avocadoes, and grapes

When we went on a trip to Thailand, I was able to taste the best fruits in their boat markets/water market. Also had a great time transferring from one boat to another to taste the goods that they were selling. I loved their rambutan, mangosteen, durian, longkong, water apple, and lychees. I have only tasted lychees from canned ones before. But they taste great fresh.

rambutan

mangosteen

longkong

water apple

I have tasted mangosteen and rambutan before. They're delicious!

Timeless favorites include strawberries (my mother's garden produces delicious ones), blueberries (I'm going to try to plant them soon), mangoes and banana. We use them in many dessert recipes too.
