Thumbs up Garden Compost Gadgets

The world of composting has also been invaded by gadgets and these gadgets have made composting more fun and enjoyable.

I got one: Compost Tumblers

- looks like a barrel
- can help you yield more compost because it enable oxygen to be efficiently
added to the pile.
- most are designed to have fewer entry and exit points for rodents and
moles.

It isn't exactly a gadget, but more of a help-along micro-organism to help scraps compost faster. It's called bokashi, and I think it's been talked about before here. I haven't tried it though.

Bokashi?

Default Ceramic and Steel Compost Containers

Plastic compost containers become saturated with smells of fermenting compost and that's quite stinky

ceramic and steel compost containers can stay indoors for longer periods of time because they are less prone to odors.

Default compost tumblers

compost tumblers look like barrels.

You don't need to turn the pile anymore. oxygen can easily be incorporated into the pile because the tumbler can be rotated especially those which have been fitted with rotators or wheels.

Default Porta-Lets

who wants a composting toilet?

it is said to utilize less water and it can be used indoors or outdoors. All-natural materials such as sawdust are used to process the waste and bury it in.

what you get is only a "moist forest" smell. a far cry from public porta-potty we've got around in carnivals and fairs.
