Question Managing red worm composter in DFW heat

I'm moving a bin full of red worms to the DFW area next month (along with my family and a few other prized possessions) and am wondering how to manage them in the heat. I've had them in the (Cincinnati) house before but DH nixes that - have had too much trouble with fruit flies. No basement, garage too hot.... what's a person to do??
